The Marbella Golden Mile is a promenade that stretches 5 km along the coast of Marbella, from Puerto Banus to Piruli. Piruli is a type of monolith that resembles a lighthouse. From Puerto Banús to Marbella or vice versa is a great walk or bike ride.
The easiest way to get to Gibraltar from Marbella is by car. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, and you'll follow the scenic coastal route along the Costa del Sol. If you don't have a car, you can book a guided tour that includes transportation, which is a convenient option if you prefer not to drive.
For those of you who enjoy a good shopping spree or for those of you who may have forgotten a few bits, they have everything you need here. They even have Penneys girl!!
Café Cortez in the old town and surrounding restaurants do nice tapas and wine if you're feeling peckish!

Maruja Limoon restaurant in the old town for dinner.
A lot of nice reasonable cafes down by the marina and along the beach for lunch and dinner. We had lovely pizza in Sotto Zero Café.
Pizzeria Picassos in Puerto Banus (check prices Puerto Banus can be saucy), definitely worth going for a look at the glamour though.

Malaga is about 50 minutes from Marbella
Malaga city is known for it's beautiful beaches, Malaga Cathedral, Picasso's birthplace and the Picasso Museum.
Ronda is about 1 hour and 10 minutes from Marbella. It is famous for it's spectacular bridge and cliffside location.
